Frequently Asked Questions
Do Electronic Cigarettes have anti-freeze in them?
NO! This is a common misconception that is easily attributable to a so-called "study" the FDA did on E-Cigs some time ago. In fact, the results of this "study" were so unreliable you'll hardly even find the FDA themselves standing by them.
We here at LeCig work hard to insure that we deliver only the best products to our customers -in both flavor and quality.

How do you know when a Cartomizer needs to be refilled or replaced?
Your LeCig Cartomizers, as we're sure you're aware, are filled with a special Liquid (we call it LeLiquid) that vaporizes when heated by an air-flow activated battery. Now, in order for this to work, the LeLiquid must be contained by some sort of suspending agent - in our case we use a sterile, synthetic poly-fill material.
As long as the poly-fill material remains sufficiently moist, the vapor flows and flows and the flavor remains strong, BUT - there is only a finite amount contained in each cartomizer, and when it begins to run out you will start to taste something ever so slightly burnt.
As soon as you taste that burnt flavor start creeping in, then you know it is time for a change!

How Do I Fill/Refill My Cartomizers?
This is one of our most commonly asked questions, so we will try to be as thorough, clear, and concise as possible.
There are many ways to refill your Cartomizer but we are going to stick with the most thorough and most comprehensive:
*The Syringe Method*
You will need: Cartomizers (blank or previously filled), syringe (although the standard needle will do the job, we can not recommend strongly enough that you buy and use the extra long needle tips - they will make your refills so much easier, trust us), at least .5ml of LeLiquid, a towel or cloth of some kind (optional, but helpful to avoid getting your LeLiquid onto your furniture and such), and finally - just a tiny bit of patience :)
Step 1: Place the tip of your Syringe as far into your bottle of LeLiquid as possible and pull the plunger back to the desired fill line (On a standard cartomizer, you would normally use 1ml for a never-before-used blank cartomizer - a first time fill - and .5ml for a refill; on a mega cartomizer you would use 1.6ml for a first time fill of a blank cart and .8 for a refill).
Step 2: Once you have allowed the LeLiquid to fill the syringe to the desired .ml line completely, pull the needle out of the LeLiquid - BUT NOT out of the bottle right away. Allow excess LeLiquid to drip from the tip as needed before removing the rest of the way.
Step 3: Place your syringe somewhere it can rest safely without risk of dripping or falling and then pick up the Cartomizer you are going to use with the white capped side facing upwards. With your Cartomizer in hand, take your push-pin and place the tip into the hole in the center of the whte rubber cap, tilt the pin sideways and lift upwards until you have removed the cap from the metal casing. (Make sure you plave this cap somewhere where it will not get lost.)
Step 4: Holding the cartomizer in one hand, take your filled syringe in the other and run the tip of the needle along the inside wall of the cartomizer until it has touched the bottom.
Step 5: Once your needle is fully inserted, depress the plunger slowly until the LeLiquid has been emptied from the syringe.
Step 6: Remove the needles tip from the cartomizer and replace the protective cap on the needle.
Step 7: Take the white rubber cartomizer cap you removed earlier and place it back in the cartomizer.
Step 8: Take the cartomizer between both hands and roll it back and forth between them several times to ensure that your LeLiquid is properly distributed throughout the cartridge.
Step 9: Let your filled or refilled cartomizer stand for as long as possible before begining to vape with it.
Step 10: Enjoy!

Help! My Cartomizer suddenly stopped working! The tip lights, and it acts like it's working - but there is no vapor. What can I do?
Don't panic! It's simple - there's this little something we call the "pin trick".
In fact, we have a video of it right here (if you don't mind copying and pasting this into your address bar above):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSIys_b9SC8&feature=channel_video_title
But just in case your computer doesn't do too well with video, let me explain -
If you look into the SCREW END of your cartomizer - where the cartomizer connects to the battery - you will see TWO components. #1 - The threading and inner walls #2 - A flat, circular, raised "Pin" or "Post" - most easily recognized as 'What the air hole is in the center of'.
Now that you have identified the Pin (or Post, if your prefer) I will point one of its aspects that is not so easily noticeable - It is NOT stationary.
In fact it can be easily pulled or PUSHED down into the threading area.
The Pin is quite an important component - it is what receives the electrical charge from the battery in order to heat the filament and vaporize the LeLiquid inside your cartomizer.
And so, it sometimes happens that in our daily removing and replacing Cartomizers on and off our batteries - we accidently manage to push the pin further into the threading area than can be reached by the Post on the battery - therefore rendering our LeCig vaporless.
The solution couldn't be simpler either - you need simply to take a push pin or something with a similar tip on it (even a long fingernail will do) and GENTLY run the tip underneath the edge of the Cartomizer Pin in a circular motion, thereby lifting the pin back to it's proper place and allowing you to continue vapeing in style.
Enjoy!

How long is a charge supposed to last on one of these things anyway?
Like most battery operated things - it depends, quite simply, on how much you use it.
Unlike a flash-light, which you could turn on and test to see how long it lasts, LeCigs are what we call "On-Demand" products - which means the battery is only being used when you are using (vapeing) it. So, if you do like some of us and chain-vape away - cartomizer never far from your lips - yeah, your battery won't last quite a full day. BUT, if you vape 'responsibly' and use your LeCig the way you would use analog cigarettes (taking breaks at work or on lunch, etc.) then even for a pack-a-day smoker our standard LeCig D1 Battery should get about 6-8 hours of use.

How long are these batteries supposed to last (long term) before they have to be completely replaced?
Barring any out-of-the-ordinary roughness or damage inducing accidents - your standard LeCig D1 battery should last a good 3-4 months before a noticeable performance decrease occurs.

Help! My battery just blinked red a bunch of times and then stopped working! What's wrong with it?
Your battery is dead and needs recharging.
When you see your tip flash 10 times fast after an attempted puff - your battery has been fully discharged.
However, this should not be confused with another similar circumstance - "The eight second cut-off" - which occurs when your have tried to drag on your LeCig for more than 8 seconds. After 8 seconds, your LeCig battery will flash 5 times, and a moment or two must be waited before you can drag on it again.

Can my LeCig D1 battery be overcharged?
Yes.
3-4 hours should be more than sufficient to fully charge a completely dead battery. Allowing them to charge for longer than 6 hours should be considered harmful to the batteries overall life.
